Rapid News Communications Group Announces Two New Shows

As a result of a highly successful grouping of shows in September 2011, Rapid News Communications Group (RNCG) has announced the inclusion of two further shows for 2012.

The return to form of Interplas alongside TCT Live, MM Live UK, MEMS Live UK and NANO Live UK has proven that there is still a huge demand for exciting and well executed live events in the engineering and manufacturing technology sectors. A combined attendance in excess of 12,000 visitors adds credence to this claim and it is against this backdrop that a new event has been launched.

Mediplas is a uniquely focused event for the highly specialised area of manufacturing plastic parts for the medical industry. The exhibition will cover all areas of the medical plastics supply chain.

It differentiates itself from general plastics shows, as it brings to the forefront aspects and considerations of medical device manufacturing that do not feature in production for other industries. It is also distinct from existing medical device events because it specialises in plastics — the new material of choice as bio-compatible plastics and polymer compounds continue to replace metal and ceramics in the medical industry.

Duncan Wood, Managing Director of the Events Division at RNCG commented: “RNCG has seen continued growth of TCT Live and MM Live alongside the new launches of Nano Live and MEMS Live in 2011. Mediplas fits perfectly with this group of exhibitions and will co-locate with them at the NEC for 2012. The company also publishes a portfolio of highly relevant media that helps us to reach the medical plastics community. This, backed by key media and organisations from the medical sector, points to a very successful debut event."

The company has also announced that Sensing Technology, organised by Datateam Business Media, will co-locate adjacent to its shows in 2012, citing great synergies between Datateam and Rapid News and also between Sensing and our 2012 group of events and we look forward to delivering yet another successful event for UK engineering and manufacturing in partnership."

TCT Live, MM Live UK, MEMS Live UK, NANO Live UK, Mediplas and Sensing Technology will take place on 25–26 September 2012, Hall 3/3a, NEC, Birmingham, UK.
