Proto Labs Recognized as a Top Workplace in Minnesota

Proto Labs, Inc. has been named one of the Top 100 Workplaces in Minnesota by the Star Tribune. Each year, the Star Tribune recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota that focus their efforts on employee retention and engagement.

"Being named one of the top workplaces in Minnesota is a great honor for us,” said Brad Cleveland, CEO of Proto Labs. “Proto Labs' success is fueled by an entrepreneurial, fast-paced culture. Our employees are the company, and we wouldn't be where we are without their innovation, creativity and passion. We are thankful to be recognized, and feel this honor speaks to how much we value our employees and our unique work environment."

The Star Tribune publisher, Michael J. Klingensmith, added, “The companies in the Star Tribune Top 100 Workplaces deserve high praise for creating the very best work environments in the state of Minnesota. My congratulations to each of these exceptional companies.”

The award is based on employee responses from a survey project that measured opinions about company leadership, communication, career opportunities, workplace environment, managerial skills, pay and benefits. Over 1,200 organizations were invited to participate in the survey, and over 60,500 employees shared their views.

The Top Workplaces special section was published in the Star Tribune on Sunday, June 19. The report can also be found online at: www.StarTribune.com/topworkplaces2011
