This online event has specific conference sessions that cover the path of continuous improvement for injection molders and plastics processing professionals. The event will provide industry insights on several topics that are relevant to molders every day, including energy efficiency, tooling technology, and controlled environment molding.

A keynote presentation by Dr. Neal Elliott, Associate Director for Research at the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) and an expert on energy policy, market, and technology thought-leader, will kick-off the virtual event.  Dr. Elliott will discuss, "The Outlook for Manufacturing: Optimism with a Dose of Caution."

A variety of engaging presentations, panel discussions, and chat sessions round out the conference sessions for today including:

Session 1: Energy Efficiency: Measure, Control, Conserve, Dr. Michael Muller, Director of the Center for Advanced Energy Systems, will discuss his research team's energy audits that helped multiple injection molding facilities make dramatic cuts in their energy usage.

Chat Session 1: Saving Energy in Your Molding Facility, Lowell Allen, Senior Vice President of Manufacturing, at The Rodon Group, a high-volume, small part injection molding specialist, will share his insights into the steps his company has taken to cut its energy use and become an overall more sustainable molder.

Session 2: Building Better Molds, In a panel led by PlasticsToday's in-house moldmaking expert, Clare Goldsberry, Greg Roembke, Roembke Engineering, and Bob Lammon, Phoenix Proto, offer the latest advances in LSR and aluminum tooling.

Session 3: Cleanroom Injection Molding, Dale Behm, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Flambeau, Inc., and Tom Albano and Scott Mackler of Cleanroom Consulting LLC will walk through the do's and dont's of cleanroom installation.
