Plastics Design & Moulding 2014

The Plastics Design and Moulding Exhibition and Conference has announced that following the outstanding success of the 2013 event, it will return to the Telford International Centre again on June 18-19, 2014. Exhibitors and visitors to this year’s show reported it as one of the most vibrant UK plastics events in recent years and over 50 exhibitors have already confirmed their presence at the 2014 event.

Major names from every part of the UK plastics community have already signed up to exhibit at PDM14 including Negri Bossi, Kuka Robotics, Gabriel Chemie, Rutland Plastics, Pantone, BMB Plastics Machinery, AK Industries, Distrupol and Chess Plastics. Other exhibitors include product design companies, rotational and blow moulding machinery suppliers, toolmakers, rapid prototyping specialists, moulders and mouldmakers, masterbatch specialists, software suppliers and materials testing specialists.

Engel UK is also one of the many exhibitors who quickly rebooked for PDM14. Commenting on success of the 213 event, Graeme Herlihy, managing director said: “We’ve been flat out throughout the show. It’s been our best UK exhibition for years.”

Mike Bate, managing director of Krauss Maffei Group, which has also rebooked for PDM14, added: “It’s been a fantastic show for us, very busy with new and existing customers from all different industries. PDM is a friendly show and a great networking event.”

PDM14 is the perfect place for plastics and design professionals to network, learn and do business. Industry associations supporting PDM14 include: British Plastics Federation (BPF), the Gauge & Toolmakers Association (GTMA), the IOM3, Polymer Training and Innovation Centre and the Polymer Machinery Manufacturers and Distributors Association (PMMDA).

Home to over 100 polymer related companies, Telford has been known as the “plastics valley” for over 20 years and was the venue for PDM’s debut show in 2005. Easily accessible from the M6 and M54 motorways, the Telford International Centre provides free parking for over 1,500 cars. After the recent £10 million upgrade of the centre’s facilities, a further £250m has been invested in the adjacent Southwater development, which will provide visitors and exhibitors with a choice of bars, restaurants and entertainment.

Plastics Design & Moulding (PDM) is a two day event combining an exhibition and conference, which has been running since 2005. The most comprehensive plastics event in the UK, PDM is a must attend for anyone involved in the design and production of plastic products. PDM is a centre for business and a vibrant source of information, education and inspiration for plastics design and moulding professionals. In 2014 PDM will be co-located at the Telford International Centre with the new PRE, Plastics Recycling Expo, Europe’s first exhibition and conference dedicated to plastics recycling.
