AMBA Convention Drives Value Down through Moldmaking Operations

The American Mold Builders Association (AMBA), Rolling Meadows, IL, recently launched new group pricing for its annual convention “Strength in Numbers”, May 16-18, 2012, at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids, MI. In an effort to drive value down through each mold building operation, the new price structure will allow more than one registrant from the same company to attend the convention at a significantly reduced rate – nearly 30% off of the full registration price! According to AMBA Executive Director Troy Nix, "Providing ways to drive value down through each mold building operation is a major goal of the AMBA. Now that the conventions will be brought closer to the heart of moldmaking communities, many companies will have the opportunity to send their production managers, CFOs and other key team members to the convention to derive as much value and take-away from the programming as possible."

The convention will be anchored in data derived from leading-edge manufacturing surveys and operational assessments. The May convention is where attendees will hear the results of AMBA's new first quarter benchmarking initiatives, delivered by the industry's foremost experts and analysts. The content of this convention is driven to identify and correlate profitability to operational behaviors, market choices and more!
Best practices also will take a front seat at the convention, as all attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a plant tour workshop as part of the programming in the afternoon on the second day. Four are mold operations will open up their shops for the tour workshops, each focusing on a unique theme and sharing a different best practice: Commercial Tool & Die, CS Tool Engineering, Byrne Tool & Die and Die-Tech & Engineering. "These carefully designed plant tour workshops provide an excellent opportunity for participants to share best practices in a 'give and take' environment that offers phenomenal value to both the participant and the host company," said Nix. "Because the take away from these tour events has been so rich in value, we have decided to incorporate this unique learning exchange into our convention - providing attendees a convention experience like none other!"

Tour workshops are booked on a first come, first serve basis. Early registration is recommended to ensure preferred tour.
