The International Society of Automation (ISA) announces keynote speakers Charlie Cutler and Béla Lipták for ISA Automation Week 2011: Technology and Solutions Event. ISA Automation Week will be held at the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center in Mobile, Alabama, USA, on 17-20 October, 2011.

Charlie Cutler will present “The Status of Real Time Optimization and Multivariable Predictive Control” and Béla Lipták will present “The Present and Future Role of Automation (the Maturing of a Profession)”.

In addition, Greg McMillan, Terry Tolliver, and Russ Rhinehart will join Cutler and Lipták in a general session panel discussion on “The Present and Future of Automation Worldwide.”

The keynotes and general session are each 90 minutes in length. In the general session, each panelist will provide a 10-minute perspective followed by a 40-minute “Ask the Experts” discussion. Attendees are encouraged to ask the panel questions in order to better understand future implications for their profession and applications, and to give them more tools for making informed business decisions.

“This is an incredible ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ opportunity to gain the insights and experience of a truly unique group of leading innovators in process optimization,” said Greg McMillan (ISA Automation Week 2011 Program Committee Chair).

Registration for ISA Automation Week will open in April 2011.
