LVMC Large Volume Metrology Conference & Exhibition 2014

LVMC will this year hold its tenth anniversary conference at the Mercure Hotel Manchester on November 19th and 20th.  A regular feature of the metrology calendar, LVMC's not for profit, community run ethos will be celebrated with a look back over the progress of the industry in the past decade and a look forward to the decade to come.

As well as looking forward, underpinning the event as always is the key theme of Process Improvement Through Measurement Technology. The event will give you the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in large volume and portable metrology.

With the future firmly in mind, this year's keynote speaker is Adam Duke, Head of Design Engineering at EasyJet, the UK's largest airline.

Adam, one of easyJet’s recognised innovators, is an industry veteran of 28 years, drawing from his considerable experience to manage the approval and continued airworthiness of damage, maintenance and repairs on easyJet’s fleet of more than 225 Airbus aircraft.

Adam will be providing a fascinating insight into the latest adaptations of technology the airline is using to improve efficiencies through innovation, proactive inspection, and creative uses of metrology.

The programme will also include presentations from Rolls Royce, Nikon, Boeing and CERN to name but a few, along with a focus on the future of metrology by a panel of experts drawn from the many fields of the metrology world.  An education forum lead by NPL will kick the event off, along with plenty of networking functions, poster presentations and vendor workshops.

Exhibitors will line the conference venue giving plenty of opportunity to see the latest innovations and to talk face to face with the specialists and to search for the truth of best available practise.

With attendance of professionals from major manufacturing OEMs such as Brunson, Faro, & Hexagon, LVMC is the foremost conference to attend to discuss real world metrology applications with like-minded individuals. LVMC allows Manufacturing, Quality Control, Production, Tooling and Maintenance professionals the opportunity to explore the potential for advanced application of dimensional metrology to increase production quality and throughput.
