Asiamold 2016 Opens This Week

For the past decade, Asiamold has been facilitating convergance of the mould, die casting and 3D printing industries in South China, making it an ideal networking hub for market experts and descision-makers. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the fair, known as one of the most influential and comprehensive industry events in South China, will open for trade from September 20-22, 2016 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

The three-day fair will welcome 360 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions and utilise 20,000 sqm of exhibition space. Some of the industry’s most up-to-date and in-demand mould making, die casting, metal working and 3D printing technologies will be displayed. In addition to a strong line-up of prominent exhibitor brands, over 60 buyer delegations have also confirmed their participation in the 2016 show, including BBK, BYD, Faw-Volkswagen, Gree, Honda, Midea, Pangaoshou, TCL, Wanglaoji and others. With the help of these big names, the fair expects to attract over 20,000 professional buyers from around the world.

Inaugural Guangzhou International Mould and Additive Manufacturing Technology Summit and concurrent events to foster idea exchange

To celebrate the fair’s 10th anniversary, the inaugural edition of the Guangzhou International Mould and Additive Manufacturing Technology Summit will run concurrently with the first two days of the fair. The first day of the summit will be led by experts from Frenk Hot Runner Technology who will provide an overview of key technological development trends in the mould and die industry as well as highlight challenges facing the automotive moulding industry.

The second day of the summit will be hosted by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt and the Guangzhou Additive Manufacturing Technology Industry Association. Hot-button topics to be covered include 3D printing applications for mould designs and metal printing as well as for the automotive, education, furniture and furnishing, moulding, medical and other industries.

Moreover, many networking opportunities and informative concurrent events are planned. More than 30 sessions of high-level seminars will be offered to highlight the industry’s innovative technological breakthroughs in mould, die and 3D printing technologies.

In addition to the Guangzhou International Mould and Additive Manufacturing Technology Summit and informative concurrent programme, another key highlight will be the 3D Printing Gallery located in Hall 2.1. To date, more than 50 creative projects focusing on high-precision designs will be on display to demonstrate the latest 3D printing solutions and technologies. The gallery exhibits will feature complex aerospace metal and auto parts, delicate jewellery and adornments with intricate patterns and more.

Asiamold is organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd and forms a part of a series of international events including formnext and Intermold Japan. The next edition of formnext will be held from November 15-18, 2016 at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds in Frankfurt, Germany. Intermold Japan will take place from April 12-15, 2017 in Toyko.
