AMBA Member Companies to Host Two Plant Tour Workshops

Creative Blow Mold Tooling, Vector Tool & Engineering and the American Mold Builders Association (AMBA) will co-host two plant tour workshops in the Kansas City, MO area on Thursday, March 16, 2017.

During these AMBA plant tour workshops, attendees will have the opportunity to explore production operations and see how Creative Blow Mold Tooling and Vector Tool & Engineering operate. Attendees will also learn about the efficiencies that give both companies an edge over their competition, as well as engage in cross-talk and networking opportunities. Lunch will be provided, as well as a welcome reception for all attendees on Wednesday evening, March 15, at Boulevard Brewery.

Although the companies are very different in the type of molds they manufacture and the industries they serve, each company has gone above and beyond to create the ultimate customer experience.

Founded in 1984, Creative Blow Mold Tooling, Lee’s Summit, MO, manufactures tooling for many of North America’s top blow molders with a concentration on providing unprecedented value to the customer.

Located in Grandview, MO, Vector Tool & Engineering offers complete engineering and fabrication of injection molds and tooling for safety lighting products for the automotive and heavy-duty truck markets. Vector’s 30,000 sq. ft. facility is equipped with the latest technology in machining to meet customer needs. Vector’s superb versatility and quality-driven mindset allows the company to meet any challenge in producing on-time, Class A production mold tools.

Throughout the year, AMBA hosts several plant tour workshops. “The tours are a unique opportunity for AMBA members to examine another facility,” explained AMBA Managing Director Kym Conis. “Attendees are able to benchmark their own processes, engage in cross-talk with other manufacturing executives and network with industry peers.”

The plant tour workshop is open to members and non-members and is expected to sell out.
