Altair Engineering Announces 6th European Altair Technology Conference

Altair Engineering announced that it will host the 2013 European Altair Technology Conference from April 22nd to 24th, 2013 in Turin, Italy. The date of the European HTC conference, traditionally taking place in autumn, has been moved to spring to better meet the schedules of Altair’s customers and partners. The European version of the ATC conference series - now in its sixth year - has grown from a HyperWorks user conference into one of the major PLM technology events in Europe, with around 500 attendees from all over the world. As a result the name of the global conference series has been changed from HTC to Altair Technology Conference (ATC) to reflect the company’s growing technology portfolio.

The 6th European ATC will highlight the latest trends, developments and applications in the area of enterprise CAE, Business Intelligence, data management, grid computing, design, and engineering services. Altair’s experts and customers will showcase cutting-edge methods, applications and industry examples representative of all technology areas Altair covers with its innovative solutions. Customers of all industries interested in speaking at the conference have until November 19th, 2012 to submit their abstracts to the organizational team.

We are currently accepting presentation proposals for the following categories:

The three-day event will be packed with valuable technical information and be divided in two parts. On Monday, April 22nd, Altair will host three workshops on different simulation related topics and will also host the first European wide 2013 EDU (university and educational use of HyperWorks) user meeting. In the evening, Altair will officially open the conference with a reception in the exhibition area of the Lingotto Congress Center. Tuesday and Wednesday will be dedicated to the traditional conference proceedings, including a broad range of technical and keynote presentations from across industries. The meet the expert sessions will highlight the capabilities of the latest version of HyperWorks and will give attendees access to Altair’s development experts. In the evening of day one and during the two conference days the attendees will also have the opportunity to visit the large partner exhibition area.

“We have moved the conference dates to spring following customer and partner requests,” said Dr. Michael Hoffmann, Senior Vice President European Operations, Altair Engineering. “Due to this change of dates, which has led to a one and a half year break since the last European conference in 2011, we are now even more looking forward to our annual conference in spring 2013 in Turin, Italy. With Altair’s growing technology portfolio, we have also broadened the range of topics presented at the conference and so we are looking forward to receive proposals in areas such as Process Automation, Business Intelligence, Grid Computing, design, and many more.”
