3D Systems Brings Its Cube 3D Home Printer to Earth Day New York

3D Systems Corporation (NYSE:DDD) announced today its participation at Earth Day New York, taking place April 19-21, 2012 at Grand Central Station, New York. 3D Systems plans to exhibit its Cube™ 3D printer, the first consumer 3D printer for children ages 8 to 80 years, and invites all Earth Day participants to unleash their creativity and express their self-reliant maker. President and Chief Executive Officer Abe Reichental will speak on "3D Printing in STEM Education: Creating a Sustainable Global Economy" on Friday, April 20, 2012, at the Grand Central Earth Day festival.

3D Systems plans to deliver a unique interactive experience at its Grand Central exhibit, inviting kids and adults alike to experience 3D printing on its Cube™ and create an Earth Day Robot using Cubify's My Robot Nation App. The company plans to award one Cube™ 3D printer for the most outstanding Earth day robot creation for a child and a second for an educator, inviting all attendees to enter a chance to win a Cube™ printer for their home or school. Children can enter their Earth Day robot creations on Cubify.com's My Robot Nation App in advance or visit the exhibit and create it on site.

"I am very excited to participate in Earth Day New York and share with children, parents, and teachers the transformative and environmentally responsible power of 3D printing," said President and CEO of 3D Systems. "As the pioneering and leading 3D printing company, we have a strong commitment to localized manufacturing through the empowerment of our kids to explore and unleash their creativity to build a sustainable global economy."

Earth Day New York is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes environmental awareness and solutions through partnerships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and government entities; educating public and private policymakers through conferences and publications; and involving the general public in annual Earth Day events.

Earth Day New York was founded in late 1989 by a broad coalition of environmental groups to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Earth Day in New York City. For the past seven years, Earth Day New York has hosted an outdoor fair at Grand Central, which has included hundreds of both local and national green businesses and environmental organizations, as well as a concert. Two years ago, we added Times Square to the festivities, where we have a green vehicle exhibition and even more businesses and environmental organizations are represented.
